THE CHURCH IN ACTION

Thank you

Thank you for your outpouring of love and support following the loss of Shari (Rowland) Littlejohn, our daughter, sister and aunt. Your prayers, visits, cards, flowers, food, help with the memorial service as well as your presence were such a testament to what a supportive and loving church this is. You have been the hands and feet of Jesus. Thank you for honoring her memory and the love you have shown us.
 ~The Rowland and Bielas families

Random Acts of Kindness Projects
  • Giant Penny Collection: You are encouraged to donate loose change in the giant penny in the foyer. All funds will be donated at the end of May, and will benefit the Sedro-Woolley Food Bank.
  • Canned Food: Donate your canned goods in the boxes in the foyer. PLEASE check the expiration dates and make sure all your gifts have good dates. All food items will be given to the Sedro-Woolley Food Bank. We'll be accepting food donations during the entire month of May, so help us fill lots of boxes for our neighbors in need.

Mary’s House
We as a church have a very special opportunity to launch Mary's House, a seven-bedroom home for single pregnant women who are homeless. We will be furnishing bedroom #3, starting with a $300 contribution toward a bunkbed. There is a list of various supplies they need to help with baby and mom, so let’s get together and donate at least $500 more for this project. We get to name this bedroom so think of names of women who have a very special story to share.

NOTE: I so appreciate our church family, and especially the volunteers who step up to the plate for our Family Promise rotation every three months. We have more volunteers now who help to get the Youth House ready and then help clean up when the week is over. I also want to acknowledge our church family that help to fund our part of Family Promise. It takes a lot of volunteers to make this program work.Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I want to thank Judy Hall for all her hard work and sacrifice. She is continuing to stick by me. That is a real blessing. Thank you everyone,
~  Linda Foster, Coordinator, Family Promise at NCSDA
